Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out in the form of an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina continued to win and took home a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011, and was the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia was a professional who started her professional journey at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016, the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships were also held in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the fight with a TKO at the end of round 2. Her following two matches were staged at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a hiatus to pursue boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi in a unanimous decision. However, she then lost her subsequent fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina bounced off the loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's battle in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke submission. It was the top fight of night for the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts, winning over Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
