In his early years Baker spent a large amount of time travelling along with his parents who were missionaries. His dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed and his mom Sonia Alane left them when the age of nine. Baker was moved to Denver with his dad and stayed for some time. Baker was bullied because that he was poor by the other kids. The first time Baker heard of hip-hop was as he began sixth grade. Colson Kelly Baker was born 22 April 1990 in Texas, United States. He is known for fusing modern and alternative hip-hop with rock in his music compositions. Baker produced four mixtapes before joining Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. In late 2011, this Cleveland rapper became a star when he changed from self-releasing mixtapes to working for reputed record labels. From there his career skyrocketed every album charting in the top ten.
